Mumbai, 1 September 2026: 72 Street is a SEBI-registered, research analyst-led platform that combines regulated research with AI-powered analysis to make informed investing more accessible to retail investors. The company has raised ₹4 crore from angel investors and UHNIs. Of the ₹3 crore invested in the business to date, 45% has gone towards technology and product development of the 72 Street app and Venty. As it scales, 72 Street plans to expand into F&O, model portfolios, commodities, and mutual funds, building further on Venty's capabilities.
The company was incorporated in late 2025 by Rohit Agarwal, Co-Founder and CEO, and Fal Ghancha, Co-Founder and CTO. Rohit Agarwal brings 20+ years in investor advisory, formerly with Bajaj Allianz, HDFC Life and Reliance Capital, while Fal Ghancha was formerly Head of Technology and CISO at JioBlackRock AMC, and CISO at DSP Mutual Fund.
The 72 Street app is the company's flagship product, built to make stock-market research more accessible, transparent and easy to understand for retail investors. As a SEBI-registered research analyst platform, the app publishes research-backed recommendations for investors to read and act on. Every recommendation published on the app is prepared and reviewed by 72 Street's team of SEBI-registered research analysts, ensuring investors receive research that is credible, transparent and easy to act on.
Venty is an AI-powered stock market researcher, designed to automatically detect chart patterns and scan more than 3,800 NSE- and BSE-listed stocks across fundamental, technical and sentiment indicators. It gives investors a fast first read on a stock in under 20 seconds, translating complex market data into simple, jargon-free insights ahead of analyst review. Every insight Venty generates is reviewed by 72 Street's SEBI-registered research analysts before publication, combining the speed of AI with the accountability of human oversight.
Fal Ghancha, Co-Founder and CTO, 72 Street, said, “With the 72 Street app, we wanted to give retail investors one trusted platform for their investing journey. Venty scans stocks across fundamental, technical and sentiment data, spotting chart patterns and candlestick formations that would otherwise take an analyst hours to find manually.”
Commenting on the company's vision and the evolving needs of retail investors, Rohit Agarwal, Co-Founder and CEO, 72 Street, said, “Retail investors have more market information than ever, but understanding it is a different challenge. Our objective with the 72 Street app is to make research transparent and easy to understand, reviewed by our analysts before it reaches investors. We're building a trusted research destination for India's growing investor community.”
Through this platform, the company aims to bridge the gap between India's growing retail investor base and the limited availability of regulated and easy-to-understand research. By bringing SEBI-registered research and AI-powered analysis together in one place, the platform simplifies a research journey that often requires investors to rely on multiple sources. The company also plans to expand beyond equities into Futures & Options, model portfolios, mutual funds and other asset classes. As part of this vision, 72 Street is seeking SEBI Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) registration, a step that would allow the platform to extend personalised, one-on-one investment advisory directly to individual investors.
