Mumbai, April 24, 2024: Tamilnadu Petroproducts Limited (TPL), Chennai-based
petrochemical manufacturing company, announced a strategic partnership with EY-
Parthenon, a leading strategy consultancy firm to support its carbon-neutral goals.
Harnessing EY-Parthenon's expertise in sustainability strategy development and
implementation, TPL aims to develop an integrated carbon-neutral roadmap aligned with its
long-term sustainability goals.
With a 40-year history, TPL is one of India’s leading manufacturers of industrial intermediate
chemicals, namely linear Alkylbenzene (LAB), Caustic Soda, and Propylene Oxide.
Leveraging EY-Parthenon's expertise in sustainability strategy formulation and execution,
TPL aims to develop an integrated and inclusive carbon-neutral roadmap that aligns with its
long-term sustainability goals.

As part of the mandate and in line with TPL’s overarching sustainability-centric approach,
EY-Parthenon will assist in constructing a roadmap to comprehend and address greenhouse
gas (GHG) emissions. TPL aims to establish internal reduction targets consistent with the
Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and devise an emission reduction plan primarily for
Scope 1 and 2 emissions. By implementing interventions such as clean energy substitution,
process efficiency improvement, circularity, and digital automation, Company aims to move
towards its goal of carbon-neutral manufacturing.
