Running from November 11–15, 2024 across Mumbai, opening session at the National Gallery of Modern Art in The Kala Ghoda,  the next week is set to showcase Mumbai’s unique role as a nexus of “Business and Beyond.”

An Immersive Blend of Art, Business, and Culture : Opening on November 11, 2024, the curtain-raiser initiative at NGMA promises an inspiring fusion of business leaders, art patrons, and cultural connoisseurs. This exclusive evening will feature speeches by senior industry figures and unveil "NGMA Treasures," a prestigious display of select artworks by renowned Indian artists that celebrate India’s artistic heritage.

Mumbai International Week: Exploring Business, Art, and Innovation

Under the theme “Business and Beyond,” Mumbai International Week will host a vibrant lineup of various initiatives aimed at fostering cross-cultural connections, promoting global dialogue, and pioneering forward-looking business strategies. 

Some of the highlighted sessions include:

1. Gateway to Global Trade – Delegation Tour of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) : Leading industry figures and Consuls General from multiple nations will tour the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) to witness Mumbai’s critical role in global trade, highlighting cutting-edge infrastructure and logistics capabilities.

2. Youth Connect: ‘Taking Indian Startups to the World’: At DY Patil University, Vidyalankar Institute of Technology, and IIT Bombay, young entrepreneurs will connect with global innovation through sessions that inspire international pathways for Indian startups.

3. Bridging East and West in Fashion: This session on the convergence of global fashion will feature insights from Mr. Vicente Gomis Ruiz, Economic and Commercial Officer of Spain, and Mr. Mike Hankey, U.S. Consul General, exploring India’s potential in the international fashion landscape.

4. Hungarian Wine and Cultural Exchange: Experience the elegance of Grand Tokaj wine tasting, accompanied by Japanese and Argentinian cultural performances, showcasing the global influence in Mumbai.

5. Industry 4.0 Tour at Siemens: Industry leaders will have an exclusive tour of Siemens’ R&D Centre, where cutting-edge manufacturing technologies for enhancing global competitiveness will be explored.

6. Celebration of Artistic Elegance: Sessions will feature workshops on Ikebana (Japanese floral art), a Kimono dressing workshop for women, and dance performances including Tango and Soran Bushi

7. India-Japan Synergy and Sustainable Growth: A special session on India-Japan trade and sustainability, led by Toyota-Kirloskar, will focus on Mumbai’s pivotal role in driving international business and sustainable development.

The week will culminate in a series of exciting initiatives, including the Best Business Idea of Mumbai competition, a Rags to Riches success story panel, a stand-up comedy show inspired by startup culture, and the CII CFO Roundtable on Attracting Foreign Direct Investments.
