Gearing Up for IFG: Indiaspora in the UAE
IFG seeks to develop solutions for humanity’s most pressing issues and create a legacy for future generations. This inaugural "invitation-only, pay-it-forward" event will bring together Indian and global diaspora leaders to create New Models for the World and address the most pressing issues of our time. Topics will include AI, Climate, Healthcare, Digital Public Infrastructure, Sanskrit, Sports, Arts, and much more. The Indiaspora team has been working diligently in preparation for this special event.
Each week Indiaspora is delighted to introduce a few members of the Forum for Good Host Committee. Dr. Kris Gopalakrishnan co-founded Infosys in 1981, and has served in various positions, including CEO and Managing Director from June 2007 until August 2011, as well as Vice-Chairman. He also has personally invested in 65 startups through his business incubator Axilor Ventures and 10 venture funds.
Janaina Tewaney Mencomo is Co-Founder of Consilium Group, and has vast experience working within Panama, Latin America, along with South Asia and the Pacific. In October 2022, she was appointed as Panama's Minister of Foreign Affairs, a role that she performed until 2024, achieving a seat for Panama as a non-permanent member of the security council of United Nations.
Nadir Patel is a Senior Strategic Advisor at Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP, specializing in regulatory affairs, global government relations, and ESG-related matters. His distinguished career in government includes serving as Canada's High Commissioner to India, where he managed the largest embassy abroad and enhanced commercial relations.
Shanthini Naidoo is the CEO of St Vincent’s Curran Foundation, one of Australia’s most successful healthcare philanthropy and fundraising organizations. Shanthini is one of Australia’s most experienced and accomplished leaders in the not-for-profit sector and has previously worked in senior leadership roles at the National Gallery of Australia, Taronga Conservation Society Australia and the Sydney Opera House.
