FPI Flows Likely To Remain Volatile

Mumbai, April 4, 2025: FIIs continued to be net cash sellers to the tune of Rs. 10,246.51 crores, to date in April’25.

Global equity markets witnessed a sharp selloff in the aftermath of the US imposing reciprocal tariffs on most major economies. On the economy front, CAD (Current Account Deficit)/GDP (Gross Domestic Product) was at 1.1% in Q3FY25, total central government receipts in 11MFY25 were 13.4% higher yoy, and the center’s capex growth was 0.8% in 11MFY25. Meanwhile, the USD-INR appreciated 0.4% over the past week. In the meantime, net inflows from FPIs stood at US$1 bn and net DII outflows in this period stood at US$1.3 bn. FPI flows are expected to remain volatile.
