Mumbai, 16 September, 2026: NSE today raised Rs6,746.18 crore from Anchor Investors. The company informed the bourses that it allocated 37,793,739 equity shares at Rs 1,785 per share to anchor investors.

NSE anchor demand has shown a strong interest from more than 150+ investors given the exclusive opportunity to participate in NSE IPO.
NSE is a proxy to the “India Story.
• Foreign institutional demand was very strong with investors spread across geographies US, Europe & Asia and categories (sovereign wealth funds, regional long only and global mutual funds) participating with large numbers
o This strong support will help boost the foreign investment inflow into the country.
o More than 20 foreign long only funds are participating in the book. FPI are investing Rs 2883 crore or 43% of the total anchor book.

• Investors included large sovereign wealth funds like GIC Singapore, ADIA and Norges Bank among others
• In addition to the sovereign funds, marquee names like Fidelity, GSAM, Eastspring and HSBC GAM among others
• Domestic participation was very well diversified with interest from varied pools of capital including Mutual Funds, Insurance companies, Pension Funds, and other institutions
o All the top MFs such as SBI Mutual fund, ICICI Prudential, HDFC MF, Nippon MF, Axis MF, Aditya Birla MF, Kotak MF, UTI MF, Mirae MF, Tata MF, Frankline Templeton MF, Edelweiss MF, HSBC MF, LIC MF, etc. Top 3 Insurance companies including LIC, HDFC Life, SBI Life and SBI General, and leading pension funds contributed to the strong anchor demand.
o More than 25 large domestic mutual funds and 11 large domestic insurance / pension companies are investing around Rs 3588 crore which is 53% of the total anchor book.
• NSE is among the top 5 holdings of LIC. LIC, the largest shareholder at NSE currently holding 10.72% (which is larger than the offer size of NSE) is participating in anchor book through three of its entities – LIC, LIC Mutual Funds and LIC Pension funds by investing more than Rs 500 crores.
• SBI group which is selling 1% stake through SBI Bank and SBI Capital in NSE is also investing in NSE through its SBI Mutual fund, SBI General, SBI Life and SBI Pension is investing more than Rs 400 crores.
• Several existing investors added to their existing private investment which is testament to the future growth compounding opportunity that NSE represents.
As per market sources, the demand for shares in anchor is nearly Rs 1.2 lakh crore (approx. 20 times the anchor book size).
