MFs Saw Record Asset Gain Of Rs14 Tn In FY24

Mumbai, April 10, 2024: Mutual Fund Industry’s Net AUM stands at Rs 53,40,194.64 crores for the month of March 2024. AUM for the month of February 2024 was Rs 54,54,214.13 crores.

Highlights of Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) Mutual Fund Industry Monthly Data for March 2024: 

  • The AAUM for March 2024 is Rs 55,00,727.56 crores and for February 2024 was Rs 54,52,487.01 crores
  • Number of new SIPs registered in March 2024 are 42,87,117.

                3 The SIP AUM is highest ever at Rs 10,71,665.63 crores for March 2024 compared to Rs 10,52,566.04 crores for February 202

                4 Mutual Fund Folios are at all-time high, registered for the month of March 2024 are 17,78,56,760

                5 Retail MF Folios (Equity + Hybrid + Solution Oriented Schemes) also at an all-time high at      14,24,42,823 for the month of March 2024 as compared to 13,94,91,744 for the month of February 2024.

                6 37 months of positive equity inflows, starting from March 2021

                7 Retail AUM (Equity + Hybrid + Solution Oriented Schemes) stood at Rs 31,20,006 crores for March 2024 with an Average AUM of Rs 31,18,039 crores

                8 A total of 21 schemes were launched in the month of March 2024, in the category of both open ended and close ended scheme, raising a total of Rs 4,146 crores.     

                9 SIP contribution stood at an all-time high of Rs 19,270.96 crores in March 2024 as against 19,186.58 crores in February 2024. The number of SIP accounts stood at highest ever 8,39,71,299 in March 2024 as compared to  8,20,17,700 in February 2024. 

Speaking on March 2024 monthly data, Mr. Venkat Chalasani, Chief Executive, AMFI, shared insightful views: "As the fiscal year draws to a close, the investor confidence in Mutual Funds continues. This is reflected by the SIP accounts hitting a record high of 8,39,71,299 with 42,87,117 new registrations. The SIP AUM stands at Rs10,71,665.63 crores, surpassing February's figures. This underscores investors' unwavering commitment to disciplined wealth accumulation. Noteworthy is the continuous positive equity inflow for 37 months in a row. Mutual funds witnessed a record asset gain of Rs 14 lakh crore in FY24, marking a 35% rise, the highest since FY21. These trends highlight investor evolution towards financial literacy and collaborative efforts in promoting intelligent investment practices, reflecting the mutual fund industry's steady growth and lasting significance."
