Mumbai, January 29, 2025: Ascertis Credit, a pioneer in performing private credit space in Asia, has announced the final close of its Ascertis Credit Select Short Term Income Fund - I (SSTIF Series – Fund I), its first fund in the new Income Fund Series. In a short period since its launch, the Fund raised c. INR 10bn, exceeding the initial target size of INR 7.5bn. This milestone reflects the strong support from their investors and reinforces our commitment to providing tailored financial solutions across the yield curve, sectors and geographies through their Solution Capital philosophy.
Distinct from the Ascertis Performing Credit Fund Series (Funds I, II, & III) through which the firm has successfully raised and invested in excess of US$ 1.1 billion to date, SSTIF Series was established in direct response to investor feedback, recognizing the need for a stable, shorter term investment vehicle with regular income distribution. The Fund aims to address the financial needs of performing high growth companies, offering bespoke credit solutions that focus on capital preservation and regular cash flow.
Kanchan Jain, Head of Ascertis Credit Group, commented on the successful final close, "The successful fundraise of this new Fund is a testament to the trust and confidence of our investors and our dedication to meeting the evolving needs of the established high-growth companies while navigating today’s dynamic environment. We are excited to leverage our expertise to provide our investors with unique opportunities that offer attractive stable returns with regular cash coupons, addressing the investor demand for shorter term, fixed income investment options. This Fund is a natural extension of our Solution Capital approach, designed to offer customized credit solutions to established corporates, ensuring both growth and financial stability."
Ascertis Credit’s robust platform, established relationships, and on-ground presence in India and Singapore position the firm uniquely to source high-quality credit investments, yielding attractive returns, well insulated from public market volatility. Its disciplined investment process and strong risk controls adhere to international best practices, ensuring that investors can confidently achieve their financial goals through SSTIF - I.
In October 2024, Ascertis Credit announced that it will be launching its fifth fund with a corpus size of $750 million. Fund III had a final close in June 2022 at US $600mn and represents one of the largest single-country performing credit funds raised in Asia.
