Their Splashdown is expected to be At 3.27 AM Indian Standard Time (IST), 19 March 2025 Wednesday. Splashdown is the method of landing a spacecraft or launch vehicle in a body of water.
At 11:05 p.m. EDT on March 17, the crew closed the hatch between the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft and the International Space Station in preparation for undocking and the return of NASA astronauts Nick Hague, Sunita Williams, and Butch Wilmore, along with Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov, to Earth.
NASA’s return coverage continues with real-time audio only, and full coverage will resume at the start of the splashdown broadcast. The audio feed will remain available, including astronaut conversations with mission control, in addition to a live video feed from the orbiting laboratory.
