Indiaspora MOU with the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF)

Mumbai, 20 October, 2024: “Indiaspora has announced to co-host an event titled "Beyond Borders: India, the Diaspora and the Quest for Space Exploration"  tomorrow Monday on October 21st with the South Asian Journalists Association and Axiom Space. Join us on October 21st for an inspiring conversation, moderated by Indiaspora Ambassador Sree Sreenivasan, as we celebrate the groundbreaking achievements of India and the Indian diaspora in space! Hear from leaders at NASA, ISRO, and Axiom Space as they explore the limitless potential of global collaboration—on Earth and beyond.

Indiaspora MOU with the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF)
Indiaspora has signed an MoU with the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) to collaborate on relevant events and projects, starting with an AI summit in 2025. The MoU was signed by Indiaspora Executive Director Sanjeev Joshipura and DFF COO Abdulaziz AlJaziri. Looking on were Indian Consul General in Dubai, Satish Sivan, and DFF CEO Khalfan Belhoul.

Indiaspora were also represented at the MoU signing by our India CEO, Sreekumar Nair, and Community Relations Director Manjula Manoj. In addition to the MOU signing, Indiaspora had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Tayeb Kamali. We are honored to have Dr. Kamali on the Host Committee for our upcoming 'Forum for Good' Conference in February 2025.

At the request of its attendees, and many others who could not join us in person, Indiaspora has uploaded the videos from its AI Summit 2.0: Reimaging AI Conference to our YouTube page. Indiaspora was grateful to host an incredible array of speakers including Umesh Sachdev, Yamini Rangan, Vidya Raman, Saket Modi, Raji Baskaran, Kris Gopalakrishnan, Mahesh Ram, and Madhav Thattai. Indiaspora will continue to update this YouTube Playlist with new content from the Summit.

Navigating Turbulent Times with Ali Velshi

Asia Society Northern California hosted a conversation between Ali Velshi, MSNBC Chief Correspondent and host of “Velshi", and M.R. Rangaswami, Founder of Indiaspora and Co-Founder of Sand Hill Group. Velshi shared takeaways from his most recent book, "Small Acts of Courage: A Legacy of Endurance and the Fight for Democracy", which chronicles his family history from India to South Africa and North America. Velshi encouraged the audience to focus on enacting small acts of courage, which add up in community impact to make larger ripples in the wider world. Velshi also offered insights into the state of democracy globally, ways to combat disinformation, and thoughts on economics, U.S. politics, and social justice.
