Mumbai, August 27, 2024: The stage is well set for one of the world’s largest annual fintech conferences, the ‘Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2024’ to start from tomorrow 28 August, Wednesday at Mumbai, India. The Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2024, scheduled for August 28-30, 2024 at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, India, will feature over 150 international speakers from 40 countries, including the US, the UK, Germany, France, Singapore, UAE, and Israel. Delegates are expected from over 100 countries, besides India.
There are sessions of expert speakers and authorities from Multilateral Organizations, Multilateral Agencies and other entities at the GFF 2024. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Blueprint for the Next Decade of Finance: Responsible AI | Inclusive | Resilient’.
Multilateral organizations (such as the United Nations (UN), International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank Group etc) are formed by a number of nations to work on issues of common interest. The multilateral organizations have multilateral partners, or are a global network of organizations that work to help poor people, women, or have common interest. Their partners may include corporations, foundations, and individuals, as well as bilateral and multilateral partners.

Jay Surti heads the IMF's Financial Supervision and Regulation division, holding responsibility for the management and execution of the IMF's work program in these areas, covering policy development, implementation assessment, and capacity building. His previous responsibilities at the IMF include management of the work on supervision and regulation of capital markets and nonbank financial institutions and leading the thematic chapters of the Global Financial Stability Report. He has represented the IMF at several committees and working groups of the Financial Stability Board, Basel Committee on Banking Supervision, and IOSCO, and has led the IMF's Financial Sector Assessment Programs in Spain and Tanzania. During 2018-20, while on leave from the IMF, he served as special advisor to top management of the Reserve Bank of India. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Boston University.

Karen Miller leads organizational strategy and special projects for Women’s World Banking. In her current role, she looks at the intersection of women's financial inclusion and macroeconomic issues such as climate change, women's health and education. Ms. Miller joined Women’s World Banking in 2012 and previously led its global marketing and communications team, leadership & diversity programs, and the Women’s Digital Financial Inclusion Advocacy Hub. Prior to Women’s World Banking, Ms. Miller worked as a brand strategist in Kenya for ZanaAfrica, a nonprofit addressing root causes of gender inequality. Early in her career, Karen designed campaigns to promote safer sex practices in her role at Ogilvy PR. In her spare time, Karen works with mission-driven start-ups.

Venkat Bhargav Sreedhara is a Financial sector specialist with the South Asia team of the World Bank. He works on development financing and technical assistance projects across financial sector issues such as climate finance, MSME access to finance, housing finance, fintech and others. He has worked on several large projects with the Government of India on green hydrogen, climate finance and MSME financing. Previously, Venkat worked with the Reserve Bank of India on financial regulation and supervision for banks and NBFCs, and with the Ministry of Finance on supporting the Finance track during India’s G20 Presidency in 2023.
