One middleman also arrested in a bribery case

Mumbai, 10 October, 2026: The CBI registered the instant case on 07.10.2026 against the accused Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya on allegations that the accused demanded an undue advantage of Rs. 3 Lakh from Bhopal based firms which were awarded the renovation work at the school. The bribe amount was demanded for releasing payment of pending bills of the firms pertaining to work orders issued to these firms by school through Government e-Marketplace (GeM).
The CBI laid a trap and caught the accused Principal and middle man while accepting an undue advantage of Rs.3 Lakh.
Searches were conducted at the residential and office premises of the accused in Itarsi and Agra and property related documents have been seized.
The investigation of the case is continuing.
