Mumbai, December 18: The Maharashtra State Skill University (Second Amendment) Bill, 2024, bearing Bill No. 9 of 2024, was passed on Tuesday in the Legislative Council after detailed discussions and deliberations. Through this bill, the proposal to rename the Maharashtra State Skill University after Ratan Tata was presented. Former departmental minister and Cabinet Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha introduced the bill in the Legislative Council, initiating the related discussions.
Several Legislative Council members actively participated in the debate. The decision to rename the Maharashtra State Skill University after the late Ratan Tata was made in October this year. Welcoming this decision, the bill was unanimously passed today.
