Mumbai, July 08: Compilation of important decisions taken by the Department of Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Government of Maharashtra. An information booklet was released today by the Chief Minister of the state Eknath Shinde in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Skill Employment Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha and Cabinet Ministers.
It has been two years since the State Government's Minister for Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation took charge of the department. A booklet containing information about various activities and schemes of this department implemented in the last two years was released by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that there is a great need for experienced, efficient, creative and skilled manpower in every sector for the development of the country. Skilled manpower contributes greatly to the development of the country. It is necessary to provide practical and quality education to all, to develop technical and vocational education system according to the needs of industries and sectors of the country, to update knowledge with developed information technology, to formulate education policy according to the demand of time and to plan for utilization of skilled manpower. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given priority to skill development activities to make the youth generation skilled in order to create natural resources and resources for the development of the country. He also congratulated Skill Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha for consistently launching innovative initiatives and implementing them effectively during his tenure.
The Chief Minister said that in the state, Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Holkar Mahila Startup Scheme, Chief Minister Youth Work Training Scheme, Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Yuva Shakti Career Camp, Acharya Chanakya Skill Development Centre, establishment of Skill University, Swami Vivekananda International Skill Development Prabodhi besides 511 Pramod Mahajan Rural and Skill Development centers have been started. Along with this, the department has implemented various activities like Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Rojgar Melas and Namo Maharojgar Mela and has made efforts to accelerate the development of the state by creating maximum employment for the youth of the state.

Minister Shri Lodha, who was present on this occasion, said that I have completed two years after taking charge of the Skill Development Department. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, efforts are being made to make the youth skilled by starting innovative activities in the skill development department in the last two years. The Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi has given priority to skill development activities to make the youth generation skilled. Vocational education has also been given more importance in the National Education Policy 2020.
Keeping in mind that today's capable youth will build tomorrow's bright Maharashtra in the state Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Holkar Mahila Startup Scheme, Chief Minister Youth Work Training Scheme, Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Yuva Shakti Career Camp, Acharya Chanakya Skill Development Centre, Establishment of Skill University, Swami Vivekananda International Skill Development Prabodhini , and 511 Pramod Mahajan Rural and Skill Development Centers have been started in rural areas. Along with this various activities of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Employment Fairs and Namo Maharojgar Mela are implemented by the department.
Minister Mr. Lodha said that important works like employment promotion program, financial assistance scheme to unemployed cooperative service organizations, training of officers of the Directorate of Employment and Self-Employment, career related materials, digital textbooks and website development scheme have been done by the department. Apart from this, special efforts have been made to provide job opportunities abroad through Career Centre, MoY with various organizations at international level and International Employment Centre. Efforts are also being made to provide employment and self-employment registration, training and guidance for tribal candidates, job opportunities to interested candidates.
