Mumbai, 7 October, 2024: The Central Government has re-appointed Shri M. Rajeshwar Rao as Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India for a period of one year with effect from October 09, 2024, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
M. Rajeshwar Rao has been so far handling portfolios of:
1 Department of Regulation
2. Department of Communication
3. Enforcement Department
4. Legal Department
5. Risk Monitoring Department
Mr Rao had joined the Reserve Bank in 1984.
