Mumbai, May 10, 2025: During a special briefing late tonight, Vikram Misri, Foreign Secretary, the Ministry of External Affairs, stated: "Repeated violations of the Understanding, reached today between the DGsMO of India & Pakistan, have occurred. These breaches are being met with an adequate and appropriate response. Pakistan must act responsibly and prevent further violations. Our Armed Forces remain vigilant and are instructed to respond firmly to any provocation along the IB & LoC."
Earlier in the day, Vikram Misri, Foreign Secretary, had stated that India and Pakistan have agreed to stop all firing and military action on land and in the air and sea with effect from 1700 Hours IST on May 10, 2025.

The Ministry of External Affairs had announced that stoppage of firing & military action between India and Pakistan was worked out directly between the two countries. The Pak DGMO initiated the call this afternoon after which discussions took place and understanding reached. There was no decision to hold talks on any other issue at any other place.
Foreign Secretary Shri Vikram Misri had confirmed the implementation of a ceasefire under #OperationSindoor: "At 15:35 hrs today, the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of Pakistan contacted his Indian counterpart, and both sides agreed to halt all military action—on land, in the air, and at sea—with effect from 17:00 hrs IST. Orders have been issued on both sides to strictly enforce this agreement. The Foreign Secretary stated that this marks a significant step towards de-escalation and peace. The two DGMOs will reconvene for further talks on May 12 at 12:00 hrs IST."
