Mumbai, April 4, 2026: Punjab National Bank (PNB), one India’s leading public sector bank, is set to flag off the 2nd edition of its flagship half marathon, PNB Soldierathon 2026 – Run With Soldiers, Run For Soldiers on 5th of April at 5 am at the JLN Stadium New Delhi. The bank witnessed an overwhelming response as registration surpassed 26000. The Delhi leg of the marathon will feature 21.1K (Half Marathon), 10K, and 5K race categories, catering to diverse fitness levels and promoting inclusivity with a prize money worth Rs.19.5 lakh.
To ensure seamless participation, special early morning Delhi metro services will operate from 3:00 AM onwards on the Yellow, Blue, and Violet Lines, enabling runners to reach the venue conveniently ahead of the 5:00 AM flag-off. Additionally, participants wearing their bibs will be eligible for a one-time complimentary to-and-fro metro ride.
To ensure smooth Bib distribution the bank has organized a three-day (2nd-4th April) Bib Distribution Expo at Thyagraj Stadium, with various runners’ engagement programmes. The event was graced by the presence of PNB’s MD & CEO, Shri Ashok Chandra, along with Executive Directors—Shri Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra and Shri D Surendran who encouraged the participants.
To expand the reach of its flagship half marathon to pan-India level PNB has organized a Virtual Marathon for different verticals and branches reinforcing the spirit of “One Team, One Marathon.”. More than 100000 participants across the country are expected to participate in their preferred distance—1 km, 3 km, 5 km, 10 km, or 21.09 km—and pay tribute to the Indian Armed Forces from their respective cities.
