Mumbai, 1 August, 2026: The Board of Directors of Muthoot Finance Limited has recommended the appointment of Mr. Alexander George as the Managing Director of the Company, effective October 1, 2026. The appointment is subject to approval of the shareholders in the upcoming AGM of the Company.

The recommendation marks the culmination of over two decades of carefully planned leadership succession, reflecting the Group's long-term vision for seamless leadership transition and institutional continuity. The announcement underscores Muthoot Finance's commitment to continuity, stability, and sustainable long-term growth. By identifying and nurturing next-generation talent from within, the promoters have ensured that the company’s core values, strategic vision, and operational excellence remain completely uninterrupted during this transition into the next generation leadership. 

Mr. George Alexander Muthoot, the current Managing Director, who has successfully led the Company for over past three decades, will assume the role of Executive Vice Chairman. In his new role, George Alexander Muthoot will continue to guide the organization, mentor the next generation of leadership and provide strategic direction as the Company enters its next phase of growth. 

As the youngest son of the former Chairman, Late Shri M. G. George Muthoot, Mr. Alexander George brings a strong educational foundation with an advanced diploma in business administration from Florida International University and an MBA from Thunderbird University in the USA. Having started his journey in the family business as a manager, he worked his way up through the ranks to his current leadership position. 

Mr. Alexander George has been associated with the company since 2006. As a Whole-Time Director, Mr. Alexander George has led the Company's operations across North, East and West India and played a pivotal role in expanding the branch network, strengthening customer reach and driving business growth across these markets. Mr. Alexander George spearheaded several transformation initiatives across technology, digital banking, customer experience, marketing, brand building, operational excellence and people development, helping build a future-ready organisation while maintaining the trust and values that define the Muthoot brand. Mr. Alexander George is recognized for carrying forward the Muthoot Family's 800-year legacy by seamlessly combining business acumen with strong corporate governance and core values of honesty, integrity, and ethics. 

A defining hallmark of Mr. Alexander George’s leadership is a strong dedication to both Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Individual Social Responsibility (ISR). He has generously contributed to the benefit of society on both personal and professional levels. His professional leadership has driven major structural expansions and strategic welfare initiatives for the Muthoot Group. His administration has successfully blended business acumen with core organizational values to actively introduce modern technology-enabled education, spearheading the inauguration of numerous Muthoot Smart Computer Classrooms at primary schools, non-profits, and educational institutes across regions like Rohini, Noida, Amritsar, Firozabad, Unnao, and Hooghly. Additionally, under his governance, the Group's social initiatives achieved widespread validation, winning the "Best Social Welfare Initiative of the Year" at the Global CSR, ESG & Sustainability Awards 2026 for prison rehabilitation projects like the Radio Parvaaz Centre at District Jail, Meerut. 

Mr. Alexander George’s excellence in the corporate sector and his impactful leadership have been recognized with numerous prestigious honors: 

• Leadership & Business Excellence: He was honored with the Top 50 Successful Successor Award by Hurun India in association with ASK Wealth on July 8, 2026. He has also received the BRICS - CCI Business Excellence Award in Leadership (2023), the Business Leader Award 2023 in Jaipur, and the Business Leader Award at the TechCircles Business Transformation Awards. 

• Corporate Governance & CSR: He was awarded the Chanakya Award 2022 for Responsible Leadership of the Year by PRCI and the Bharat Samman Award by the Alika Educational & Health Society. Additionally, he accepted the Golden Peacock Award for CSR (FY '21-22) on behalf of Muthoot Finance. 

• Social Welfare Contributions: He received special honors from Olympic Medalist Ms. Mary Kom and Mahatma Gandhi's granddaughter, Smt. - Hall Of Fame’. The Board has also recommended the elevation of Mr. K. R. Bijimon as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He currently serves as the Company's Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer. Stepping into the newly defined role of CEO, Mr. Bijimon brings an unparalleled depth of institutional knowledge and financial acumen. A Chartered Accountant by profession, Mr. Bijimon has been a strong pillar at Muthoot for the last 3 decades. Serving most recently as Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer, his meticulous approach to financial governance and operational efficiency has been instrumental in the company’s sustained profitability. His elevation to CEO underscores the promoter directors' commitment to institutionalizing professional management at the highest levels of the company. 

The leadership transition comes at a time when Muthoot Finance is stronger than ever, with record financial performance and sustained business growth. The Company has , as on June 30 ,2026 , crossed Rs1.91 trillion consolidated Loan Assets Under Management, and achieved a historic milestone by crossing Rs106.06 billion in consolidated profit after tax during financial year 2025-26 and continues to strengthen its position as India's most trusted gold finance institution. The Board also reaffirmed that the Company's experienced leadership team, including Directors George M. George, George M. Jacob, George Alexander and Eapen Alexander together with the senior management team, will continue to work closely with Alexander George in driving the Company's longterm vision, ensuring continuity, strong governance and sustainable value creation for customers, investors, regulators, employees and all stakeholders.
