RECPDCL hands over Kallam Transco Limited SPV to IndiGrid and Jalpura Khurja Power Transmission Limited SPV to Tata Power

Mumbai, April 7, 2024: REC Power Development & Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a Maharatna CPSU under the Ministry of Power and a wholly owned subsidiary of leading NBFC on Friday awarded two project specific SPVs (Special Purpose Vehicles), namely Kallam Transco Limited and Jalpura Khurja Power Transmission Limited, for construction of “Western Region Network Expansion Scheme in Kallam Area of Maharashtra” and associated lines – 400/220 kV , 2 × 500 MVA GIS Substation Metro Depot (GR Noida) and 2 × 500 MVA GIS Substation Jalpura through tariff based bidding process.
M/s IndiGrid 2 Limited and IndiGrid 1 Limited (Consortium) were the successful bidders for the Intra State Transmission Project of Ministry of Power, Government of India for development of Western Region Network Expansion Scheme in Kallam Area of Maharashtra and M/s Tata Power Company Limited was the successful bidder for construction of 400/220 kV , 2 × 500 MVA GIS Substation Metro Depot (GR Noida) along with associated lines for the Intra-State project and 400/220 kV , 2 × 500 MVA GIS Substation Jalpura of Government of Uttar Pradesh .
RECPDCL was the bidding process coordinator for both the projects.
The SPV was handed over to the bidders in the presence of Shri Rajesh Kumar, CEO , RECPDCL and senior officials of RECPDCL , REC Limited , CTUIL and UPPTCL.
