Mumbai, May 28, 2025: The Spl. Judge, PC Act cases, Bhokar today i.e. 28.05.2025 sentenced two accused Shri Suresh Topaji Singewar, then Mail Overseer, Postal Department, Bhokar, Nanded (Maharashtra) and Shri Omprakash Gangadhar Swami, GDS, Sonar Post Office to 4 years’ Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) with fine in a case of bribery, as per a press release issued by the CBI today..

CBI had registered the instant case on 07-05-2015 against accused Shri Suresh Topaji Singewar, Mail Overseer, Postal Department, Bhokar Sub-Division Nanded alleging therein accused demanded an illegal gratification of Rs 15,000/- from complainant for not taking any departmental action against complainant, for mistake purported by the complainant.

CBI had laid a trap and caught the accused red handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 7000/- from complainant.

Charge sheet was filed by CBI on 24-11-2015 against the accused before the Ld. Spl. Judge, PC Act cases, Bhokar.

The Court, after trial, found accused guilty and sentenced them accordingly.
